Hidden Message Found In The Beatles Lyrics?

In 1966, the Beatles released a song called the Taxman; seems like they were onto something.

Today many San Diego homeowners are enjoying electricity produced by their own clean solar power.

Well, the Taxman (utility company) is at it again! It seems he isn’t crazy about you producing your own electricity and wants to change the rules. Net-energy metering (NEM) has been a cornerstone of the California solar market since 1996. It allows a solar customer’s meter to spin backward, giving customer’s credit at full retail rates when they are feeding power into the electric grid. Customers pay only for their net usage of electricity from the utility.

What are the new rules going to look like? If the utility company has their way new solar customers will not be able to sign up for net metering under the current structure; this could potentially kill the market for new solar installations. Based on the pace of solar installations here in San Diego, the rules could change somewhere between December 2015 and April 2016.

Please… don’t leave your fate in the hands of the Taxman. Solarize your home right now and get grandfathered into the current rate structure before it’s too late.
